Temple Health System Transport Team is hiring for the position of Transport Technician (see below).  We are holding a job fair on Monday, 3/21 between the hours of 9 am and 4:30 pm at our offices.

Transport Technician

Position Summary:

* Under limited supervision, plans, directs and provides patient care on a particular shift in the transport environment, in accordance with established corporate philosophy, clinical protocols and medical direction

* Relates effectively with other clinicians for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with referring and receiving departments and nursing units



Essential functions include:

* Provides the best possible patient care by planning, organizing and directing patient care during critical care interfacility transport

* Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly; supports and enforces infection control policies and procedures

* Evaluates the performance of personnel using the peer review process with recommendations for appropriate action

* Identifies problems and guides personnel to their solutions; maintains the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting; maintains professional approach with confidentiality

* Participates in orientation, in-service training for personnel and program safety training



Education and Experience:

* Current NREMT-P and PA paramedic certifications

* Minimum one year experience performing interfacility transport recommended

* Minimum three years full time (or equivalent part time) experience in emergency response ambulance service recommended

* Current ACLS, PALS and appropriate trauma life support course certification

* Must have current medical command
